Libyan Visa

Libyan visas are granted for the following purposes:

Official mission, business, tourism, visit or accompanying a resident. The visa is valid for 45 days beginning from the day of issue, and can be renewed while in Libya.  Libyan visa can be issued on arrival at the border or airport. However, you must contact a Libyan tour operator to provide you with the invitation letter in order to complete the procedure. Your passport must not contain an Israeli visa, must have at least two blank pages and be valid for at least six months.

Passport Translation:

A recent Libyan Law (11 November 2007) requires all visitors to have an Arabic transcript of their passport ’ s details page printed in their passports. This is the biodata page which contains biographical information about the passport holder. Visitors should contact the Libyan Embassy to inquire about acceptable (or approved) translation service providers for the inclusion of the passport holder ’ s bio details within this stamp. The best place to have this translation done is the Chamber of Commerce. For instance, in London, contact: the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

Business Visa:

There are two kinds of business visas:

Multiple Visa: this lasts for three months and allows the holder   free movement in and out of the country for a period of three months. Failure to establish a business during the first business-visa may stop you from getting another business visa in the future. Please contact us for further information.

Mission Visa: mission visa is similar to business visa, except that it lasts only for one single visit and is valid for one month.
