Services Available For Investors & Developers

The free trade zone area along Zwara's coast is currently undergoing a massive development. Several projects will be built to provide all the services and facilities needed to make the zone a unique place for investors, including various residential, educational, leisure and entertainment components, law courts, ports, airports, and banks which will provide tax exemptions and offshore banking. However, the current services already available include:

1. Zwara sea port (Zwara Marina), one of the main ports of Libya.
2. Zwara airport: a small airport currently services domestic flights, and is under development to become an international airport.
3. Banks.
4. Transport (private and public transport, taxis, buses, coaches), and a plan to build railway line.
5. Tour operators and travel agents.
6. Hotels, with several new hotels under construction.
7. Shops, cafes, restaurants, market (including a large fish market).
8. Office and car rental services.
9. Law court and lawyers.
10. Large, advanced hospital.
11. Schools and a university.
12. Estate agents providing land and property for sale and rent.
13. Translators (there are several languages spoken in the area including English, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Greek and Russian).
14. Farms and growing fields are also available for rent or sale for developers who want to produce their own food.
15. Several clean beaches: the best in Libya.
